Desert Devil Kebbit

The kebbit of the sands have a strange name, one that implies a connection to the fiery realm of Infernus. This is, weirdly, not actually that far from the truth, because the desert devil is not native to the Umbral Sands, but rather the result of poor security at Dowdun Reach. Originally, they were brought to the Reach as a rapidly reproducing source of meat. Sadly, the once peaceful and vegetarian chinchompas of the region discovered that their meat was delicious and consumed them voraciously, becoming the carnivorous chinchompas the region is currently overrun with. A few of the kebbits escaped to the desert, where they survived by feeding on cacti and small insects that lived within the sands. Now, while their meat is no longer as delicious, they’ve adapted to survive in the desert and can be found running round the sands without a care in the world.
